pkinneb
So I finished up tonight just had a few dominos for the french cleat bracket So i've been thinking about how I want to finish this project. If I wasn't dyeing it I would probably glue it up first but thinking with the dye maybe I should prefinish it, at least the dye portion then I could spray the top coat. What would you folks do? wtnhighlander
I prefer to pre-finish as much as practical, regardless of the material or process used. Nothing says 'noob' like nooks and crannies that are bare, or gunked up with excess finish.
Chestnut
I started prefinishing parts if not all of the pieces I do that receive a dye or stain and it makes life a lot easier. Have to be a lot more careful with glue quantity to avoid excessive squeeze out.
