Tpt life
Perkins Brothers are on YT and had a woodworking accident recently. I debated linking here. Decided I’d just bring it up and you can dig if you like. Jaime goes into detail. Basically forgot to turn a machine off while batch milling. Noisy shop, ear muffs etc. This is just my reminder to stay safe.
Gary Beasley
That makes a good point for having running lights of some kind on machines that make enough noise you need hearing protection. Ive worked around plenty of industrial level machines and for the most part they have lights to let you know they are powered up.
Coop
My band saw is so quiet, especially with the dc running, that I always turn the light on in case I forget to turn it off.
Popular Post JohnG
Yikes! Good reminder how quickly and easily it can happen. I’ve mentioned before that my wife works in the Emergency Department and in the past couple years has seen several people come in from woodworking machine injuries. Every one had been in the game for years or decades and every one said they were always careful. It only takes one little distraction, lapse in judgement, or mistake.
