Remote for Dust Collector

Recommended Posts

I am interested in what brands of remote switches you all use for your dust collectors.  I have had a Long Ranger for a number of years that just died and I need to replace.  I was happy with it but wanted to hear from you guys.

What size/voltage of DC are you running?  I just have a little 1.5 hp system and I am able to get by with a cheap remote I picked up at Menards.  Been there a couple years and no issues.

Its 1.75 hp. 115 volt.

I got mine from Grizzly, and it's HF DC and it works very well for the last 3 or more years.

I never even thought of checking Grizzly

I have been using the Long Ranger for four or five years and am completely satisfied.

I was too, I went ahead and re-ordered another one.

I just posted here to see if there was something way superior out there.

Has any one ever had their remote turn on the vacuum unit .l have gone out to my shop, and the vacuum unit will be on, I try to remember to shut off unit at switch. I use a remote purchased from a big box store also.

Late at night when everyone else is in bed and it’s quiet in the shop and I have the remote (Long Ranger III, ) attached to my front pocket. I step up to the work bench and it makes contact and the dc comes on. DAMN!
