Coop 7603
When I bought my ETS 150/5, I bought boxes of 150, 180 & 220. The boxes show P150 Rubin 2, P180 Granet and P220 Rubin 2 and each have a hole pattern to match the sander pad. To order more discs, I went to Festool’s site and don’t find these with the hole pattern but do on Amazon. Also on Festool, I see they have a Granat Net. What disc have you guys found favorable and from where did you get them?
pkinneb 3612
Klingspor from Klingspor
Larry Moore 101
The newer 150 discs have more holes
Coop 7603
And if there are more holes than my pad has, I consider that not so good as it means less paper surface.

I guess I never thought about that but it makes sense. The Klingspor discs have more holes then I need but work great although I have never done a side by side comparison to discs with the proper number of holes

Chet 4936
The extra holes are new but shouldn't matter. I have been using the Festool Granet, it is more money but it does seem to hold up better. I have been getting mine at a local Benjamin Moore Paint Store if you have one by you Coop.
Chestnut 5639
I'm told the more holes don't matter. I believe extracting the dust from under the paper offsets having less material, though I'm not really sure that having more holes will significantly impact lifespan. It should in theory increase performance so sanding goes quicker as dust is removed faster and more efficiently. If your pad doesn't have the extra holes don't worry about it. I'm using the new hole pattern on an old pad and it doesn't make a difference.

BillyJack 355
Are Kingspor, VSM, 3M , etc not making sandpaper that adapts to the Klingspor?
legenddc 481
FYI Klingspor seems to have a sale going on in a couple of weeks for their now virtual event. No clue what it will be but I'm going to hold off and hope to save some money.
