Jay9010
I have been trying to straighten the tables to my new 12" jointer but I keep getting a crooked table. I tried setting the tables to the top dead center but doing that makes the tables unable to line up straight over the knives. At first I thought it could be the tables but my straight edge says the tables are fine. I'm starting to think it's the cutter head or the cutter head housing. Does anyone have any advice or experience with this?
wtnhighlander
Make & model may get you some specific pointers, but if this is a new machine, I would start with the manufacturer's customer service.
gee-dub
Agree that make and model will get you more help. Too often folks get themselves in trouble by diving in with table adjustments on jointers when there is another root cause. You will find various posts cautioning against table changes prior to good problem isolation. We're past that so let's try make and model and go from there. As stated, if new, the maker is your first call.
Jay9010
Its the parellolgram function, one table is set too low in a corner and another is set too high making a flat plane impossible. I'm going to look underneath to see if it's fixable soon. It's a Laguna 12", mjoinx86 5-1-0130.

I've been trying but they must be busy or something.
