Antique Birds Eye Maple Loom in Freezing temps

Hi -

We have an antique Birds Eye Maple floor loom from the 1930s we want to store in our workshop out back. It has a finish on it, but we're a little concerned that the freezing temperatures out there might affect the wood. Would there be any problems? We plan to disassemble it to store it.

Thanks,

Hi @brennan! Wood is affected very little by typical temperature changes in a temperate zone climate. More critical are swings in humidity. However, given the loom is almost 100 years old already, unless there is direct exposure to the elements, you are not likely to have any issue.
