Where did you get the measured drawing/inspiration for your full size drawing?

I was able to get bits and pieces from the books listed below; however, watching David Boeff's videos gave me a lot of ideas. By the way, the books listed can be difficult to obtain. Try Amazon first.

"Masterpieces of Furniture" by Verna Cook Salomonsky

"Making Period Furniture" by Fine Woodworking

"Measured Drawings of 18th Century American Furniture" by Eljner Handberg

(Addendum to above)

I apologize for the poor editing of the posting above. I'm having difficulty using this format to insert photos and to do text wrapping. I'm open to any/all suggestions.

I always put a "carriage return" after every picture.  That way every picture and any text starts on a new line.

Nice work on the chest.  Are you going hand or power tool?

I just searched for each of those on ebay, and right now, there are plenty of them for sale.  I already have them, or would have filled a blank.  I just copied and pasted each of your lines into the search box on ebay.  I don't know how many books I bought off ebay last year, but the year before the number was 154.

I’m considering installing a single Chippendale style drop bale drawer pull in the center of each drawer on this project. I’ve never installed one of these on a curved drawer front. The radius is 1 13/16: 15”. Has anybody done this before..?

Too late after finish, but treating the wood with a strong base, like lie or ammonia, will impart a deep rich color. I've use lye before, takes about 3 applications to get a really even color, initially a deep brick red. After it ages a couple of months, it is the deep reddish brown of a centuries-old antique.

I recall testing with ammonia, but can't recall the exact shading.

How do you apply the base? Will it cause streaking if it's not applied properly?
