I'm too old and feeble to manage that. That would weigh around 175 lbs. And 42" is much too wide for my 10" Delta. Not possible unless you have a jumbo size table saw. Imagine there are some sliders that would accommodate a wide and heavy crosscuts. I will always bring the tool to the work on large pieces like this thread has been asking about. I just cut it off with a skill type saw with a straight edge guide. I have a clamping straight edge for this work. And use the same edge with a big router and a bit that cuts 90 to the surface. I take a little less than 1/16".
curlyoak
I have not tested the capacity of my new incra 5000. I have made some 23" crosscuts 3 ft long. 3/4" birch. Before I made the cut I rough cut the plywood first an inch bigger. The lighter it is the more control you have. And more control means more accuracy. Something I care about. BillyJack
I just try and understand the can, can't and won'ts of a subject. I didn't have a slider for 33 years. I'm still trying to understand using a breadboard end on such a top..
