Clamping Jig/Block For Live Edge

Can you guys give me an idea what kind of, or shape of, a block to use with parallel clamps to fill the uneven space between the clamp and the slanted edge of a live edge slab? I'm assuming they would be pieces I would have to make.

Something like an over-sized french cleat, maybe?

For a perfect fit to an irregular surface, cover the slab with plastic wrap, mix up some Bond-O, and mold it around the edge to form a flat side opposite. Stuff cures pretty quick.

Lots of guys will hot glue shim shaped pieces to raw projects.

Ya, I was wondering if I blue taped the live edge, then super glued a block to the tape, square to the clamp, that would work. Kinda the same thing. Thanks.

Foam insulation blocks could work.
