Popular Post curlyoak Posted December 13, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted December 13, 2024 A present from Grandma. Her son in law and daughter were doing remodeling and the place where they kept measurements of their 2 sons was part of the remodel. Grandma secretly had the workers cut out the markings. It is framed with cherry with a 1/2" ply panel painted black. I added a piece on top for room to grow. It will be hung on the wall. The top mark is a year old. So the goal is to hang the frame so the older boy is one inch more than the high mark. They have paint to match for the top add on. 10 Quote

Popular Post curlyoak Posted December 13, 2024 Author Popular Post Report Posted December 13, 2024 The grandfather on the side of the father for decades have known each other and are close friends. He has no knowledge of this. I'm glad I saved a worthless carbide saw blade. The backside of the markings was far from flat. But the face was true. So with the bad blade and fire flying from metal and a thick white fog from the sheet rock was able to true it up. The blade has been recycled. 5 Quote
roughsawn Posted December 21, 2024 Report Posted December 21, 2024 Great job curly! Kids nowadays wouldn't have a clue what yer talking about. And shame on their parents. Some traditions that should be kept alive, fall by the wayside. Ahhh, that brings back memories... 1 Quote
