Popular Post curlyoak Posted January 4, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted January 4, 2025 Besides a few hold down that is used with my drill press. A bunch of Jorgensen pipe clamps. and variety of threaded pipes on standby. I have a bunch of C clamps from 3" to 6". I keep 2 c clamps hanging on 2 nails on my main bench. The c's on the bench are handy when I want to belt sand. Nearby is a piece of 1/2" ply 3" x 72". Thinner than most of what I belt sand. I have several hand screw wooden clamps. Then there is 2 clamps shaped like human hands. They belong to my neighbor without hesitation is there almost on demand. And I reciprocate. Most valuable clamps of all! We have a fence on our common line. And in the most strategic spot we have a gate. We use the gate a lot! 4 Quote

I started looking into different clamps because of age. My hands are getting to were they cramp and twisting clamps definitely doesn’t help. My thumbs have payed the price in woodworking.. 4 Quote
Doing it Posted January 8, 2025 Report Posted January 8, 2025 I agree with you about the squeeze clamps althougn I've noticed that the newer pony squeeze clamps are built a little better than most. I find the holding power to be pretty nice vs the ease of use and they seem to want to get the job done Quote
Mark J Posted January 8, 2025 Report Posted January 8, 2025 And if squeeze clamps were not enough, now there's Power Jaw Clamps: https://www.rockler.com/rockler-power-jaw-clamp Quote

Primary use I thought of was to hold a stop block on my sleds. The jaw opening of 2" is too small for the fence and block, so I'll have to figure something else to use them for. Or they'll hang on my wall with lots of other things I rarely use. 4 Quote
Popular Post gee-dub Posted January 13, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted January 13, 2025 I find the power jaw clamps handy at the drill press fence. They can sort of "tweezer" in and not run into the mast or the dust collection fixtures. 2 1 Quote
BillyJack Posted January 16, 2025 Report Posted January 16, 2025 I use the vice-grip clamps at the drill press.. 2 Quote
