First, welcome to the forum. I've never tried to (re-)use a piece of furniture as an aquarium stand. I would have concerns that something marketed as a sideboard could hold 486 lbs (220 kg). As to reinforcing it, it would depend on the existing structure. I've built several from scratch, but never modified one.

I would be leery of a typical commercially-made sideboard holding that much weight. I think that by the time it was suitably re-inforced, a new one could be built.

460lb / 220kg doesn't sound like all that much, but do you want to risk dumping a full bathtub of water onto your living room floor if it fails?
