Ron Swanson Jr. Posted July 6, 2025 Report Posted July 6, 2025 if anyone is local to the twin cities in Minnesota and interested in this, let me know. I'll give you an excellent deal. Thanks 2
Coop Posted July 7, 2025 Report Posted July 7, 2025 Did you find a better option or just don’t spray as often as you once did?

I just don't spray at all anymore. I'll bet it's been 2 years + since i last used it. And it takes up valuable real estate in my small shop. So, it's time to look for a new home for it. 2
gee-dub Posted July 7, 2025 Report Posted July 7, 2025 I too have an HVLP rig that I do not use. I thought I was going to convert to a water borne spray process but just never made the switch. The high-VOC wipe on / wipe off method can be tedious but I am used to it and get the result I am after. The challenge in California is finding products. Fortunately the state, although being our third largest, is long and narrow. This means a more sensible finishing product shopping experience is not far away. 1

As a multi-generational native I have a knee-jerk reaction to defend my home state. Unfortunately that is becoming harder and harder to do 1
Coop Posted August 9, 2025 Report Posted August 9, 2025 @gee-dub, hold tight as I think relief for you is forthcoming. I’m seeing more and more Californians with Texas license plates.

My projects tend to be small and more amenable to wiping/brushing. When i did kitchen cabinets, i sprayed those; but the finishes i use now and the size of my projects just aren't good candidates for spraying. 1
BillyJack Posted August 9, 2025 Report Posted August 9, 2025 I spray, pour back in can, clean gun. . A lot of times my cleaner goes back into the can as a thinner for the next job. 1
Coop Posted November 13, 2025 Report Posted November 13, 2025 @Ron Swanson Jr., were you able to sell your Earlex? I’m about to start a bookcase that will require spraying with my Fuji Mini-Mite and will probably list it after I finish the finish. 1
