Popular Post Ron Swanson Jr. Posted May 10 Popular Post Report Posted May 10 Well i finally got into gear after a long winter off. I joined a SIG (Special Interest Group) through our state's woodworking guild. We make boxes for people who have lost someone in the hospital, presumably for their smaller belongings. A sad but worthy cause. There are 7 of us and each month we meet at a different member's shop. Next month is my turn to host. I still have to create and fit a bottom, and a top; and I'm pretty rusty as the joints have several gaps to fill and the fit needs to be finessed a little better. With that said, it felt damn good to get off the schneid and put steel to wood. New halfblind DT saw absolutely flies through the stock and was an absolute pleasure to use. So i will have to find a different excuse for shoddy craftsmanship, as i can't blame the tools, dang it! 7 1 Quote

pkinneb Posted May 17 Report Posted May 17 That looks great Ron! What a good cause as well. We are lucky to have such a great WW guild here. I belong to the Windsor chair SIG 2 Quote
