Nick2cd
I need a new router and have been considering the new BOSCH MRC23EVSK. it has received favorable reviews from wood magazine, but i haven't heard too much in the way of real world testing by people like us. any thoughts or reviews. my other consideration would be the bosch 1617 as it comes with fixed and plunge bases as well. i have to say though, i like the idea of trigger switches on the handles of the bases (feature on the aforementioned new bosch). over40pirate
I won that router kit, from a Wood magazine, for the tip of the month. I played with it before selling it. Seemed nice. I didn't like the idea, that the motor wouldn't work in a table lift, if I wanted to get a lift in the future. The main reason I sold it, was I have enough routers now, and could use the $225, I sold it for, for some parallel clamps, and more $ for the tool kitty. ddean5
I used this new Bosch first time on 4 end grain cutting boards. I loved it and it will be my go to router. Really liked the power switch on the handle and the switch can be locked in the on position if needed. Have not used it with the non-plunge base yet.
