Gregory Paolini
Hi Y'all, Just wanted to give a shout out from Western North Carolina - I'm right off of I-40, about 20 minutes west of Asheville, and about 90 minutes east of Knoxville, TN. Actaully, Atlanta is only about 3 hours away, driving right down US-23. Anyone else in my region? -gp
protectedvoid
Southeaster North Carolina here, in Wilmington, NC. You're about 7 hours drive east of me, give or take. Coincidentally, I'm off I-40 as well...literally, since I-40's east coast terminator ends in Wilmington.

BuilderBill
Greg, I'm in NGA but fish WNC a lot, mainly the Nantahala and the Tuckaseegee. Some day if I get rained out I'll drop in and buy you a cuppa java. IIRC, there's a pretty nice fly shop in Waynesville, can't recall the name right now but I've been there. Nice to have neighbors! JamesT
Hey guys, I'm in Matthews, just outside of Charlotte. Where do you you all buy your hardwood from? I'm always looking for other sources. I've got a Woodcraft store around the corner from me but think I'm paying a premium. James

SMeekWoodworks
I'm in West Asheville. I work at Asheville Hardware running the woodworking school, so if you ever come in and I'm there, be sure to say hi!
BuilderBill
I'm starting to feel a road trip coming on.... I've been tweaking the car stereo, got it sounding pretty good. Just have to install the sub amp, finalize the box design, get it carpeted and mounted and I'm good to go! It's been a few years since I've visited A'ville, nice town, thinking it's time to visit again. Maybe look up some old fishin' buddies and find some new woodbutcher friends while I'm there... Hopefully I'll see some of you guys soon! Best, Bill

Guest
Used to live just south of you in Greenville for many years. Home in Texas now. But I do love your mountains and spent many Sundays driving in and around them.

Bobby Slack
Sounds like the heart of the bluegrass music. Pull out that mandolin and fiddle
Woodenfred
The Mandolin and fiddle are hanging with the guitar on the wall behind me. Now if only I could play them well.
Woodenfred
And one of these days I'll finish building that guitar that I started.
Bobby Slack
I play badly the guitbox and the mandolin. Try to put some string time while in my Colorado cabin in the mountains (at 10,000 feet of elevation) The Mandolin and fiddle are hanging with the guitar on the wall behind me. Now if only I could play them well.
