This is tempting. The Ridgid Planer doesn't appear to have dust collection, though. How is their jointer?

I bought the jointer this past spring, part of the clearance, open a credit account save more money promotion. To date I have used it in the process of making a couple of end grain cutting boards. I have ran hard maple, purple heart, and jatoba through it with no problems. The thing just eats up the wood and leaves a darn smooth and square surface (at least according to my engineers square). Also, it is very easy to assemble and the adjustments are very straightforward. My stock prep style may be different than others however as I usually only take about 1/32" passes. Just my two cents. i love the ridgid jointer...I have one in my shop sale...if it wasn't only 6" I'd keep it, but I need a larger surface! The planer is good also...I had it for a while and then gave it to a friend when I manage to get my hands on the DW735!
