Here is a little hammock that i made a couple of weeks ago. I made a jig to bend the strips around and then glued them on 2 at a time. Make sure you get wet new 2x4 x 8’ material from the store then cut on band saw then plane to about 1/4 and pre-bend them before they dry out. It makes the glue up a lot easier. I used a mix of doug fir and redwood and intermixed them. Oak for the cross member. I have weight tested to 500lb. This is the most relaxing hammock that I have used. To rock yourself just move on foot, that’s all it takes.
