bmchan Posted March 2, 2011 Report Share Posted March 2, 2011 I just finished the DVD and really enjoyed it. Finishing is always an afterthought for me and I want to take it up a notch or two. I am building a tv entertainment center and the wood is red oak and plywood (maple I believe). I want to apply a tint to the finish. How do I incorporate that into Marc's varnish wipe on finish? So dyes, oil-based stains, water-based stains, lacquer-baseds staines, are all compatible. Just make sure the stain is completely dry and then start adding coats of varnish.
