Green Head
I am in the process of making a dresser out of Baltic birch plywood and hard maple edging. The dresser is to be painted. I have read that lacquer paint from Sherwin-Williams is the way to go. I do have some questions though as I have never used lacquer paint before. 1) I have a Lowe's gravity fed kobalt sprayer. Will this sprayer handle the task? I have sprayed latex paint before but that is it. 2) What are the steps for preparing the piece to be sprayed, i.e. primer, sealer??? 3) How much do you dilute lacquer paint, and with what? 4) Will you be able to see the grain in the BB plywood after it is sprayed and sanded? I have been unable to find out much about this. If someone has a source that answers these questions that would be great, I don't mind reading. If pointed in the right direction. I plan to use either Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore, any suggestions which brand, or perhaps a better brand. I really appreciate any help as I have never done this before, Thanks
