Pbmaster11
I want to paint a few things and just purchased rocklers HVLP... I have not opened it up nor read the directions but wanted to get a head start on here.... Any specific directions on spraying oil based paint? Can you spray water based? Thin it? Best brand of paint? Specific application directions or technique of spraying paint out of an HVLP?
dwacker
Going to be tough with that rockler unit to get a decent paint finish. Look at you tube for some videos on how to hold and move a gun. Going to be alot easier than someone explaining it to you. Thinning is time based viscosity you need a viscosity cup, this should be explained in your instruction manual. If it didnt come with a viscosity cup you will need one if you expect to get decent results with paint. RobMorgan
I have been looking at the Earlex 5500 HVLP and found some videos that showed usage of it for all sorts of paints and varnishes. Keys that were mentioned was the thinning for sure. If you are on FB, look me up and you can see the video links on my wall.
