garygrant
Bummer. Good luck with the exchange. It looks like you have definitely documented the damage. Judging by the pictures, it took a major hit.
ssrt3
Well i went to sears they are going to send someone out next week when im off work to see what peices they need to replace and then replace them they did it with no argument. they told me to put it together to make sure there were no more broken or missing pieces so i did. i will say that the saw runs as smooth as glass and quit. here are some pics of it together. ChetlovesMer
i will say that the saw runs as smooth as glass and quit. I'm assuming you meant runs as smooth as glass and "QUIET". or did you really mean that it ran smooth and then quit?
Static_23
i have the same saw and love it. i got mine amonth ago from an out onsale. of course it was missing stuff but the parts were ordered right away and were at my house in 3 days. since then ive add a 42" out feed table and a side table/router table. Ya I meant quiet, darn spell check, hey static what side table/router table did you get for it or did you make one. and do have some pics. i going to add one as well after they fix it, poor guy has to take it all back apart to change the table top, sucks to be him, that is why i got the warranty. Static_23
i built it my self. went to Rockler and bought a plate for it and routed out the melamine. im going to put some maple edging on the out feed table sometime. i also took off the foot that is on the end of the fence and double sided taped a thin piece of plastic to it so that it rides on the table instead of the angle bracket. i recamend scribing a line with a knif onthe plastic plate for the fence and color it in with a sharpe and wipe it clean while it is still wet. it just gives you a finer line to read. Static_23
in a month i will probably going to order some 8' 2x3 and angle to give me a 52" cut fence.
ssrt3
Looks good i might have to pick your brain when you get the angle to make you 52" fence to see how you did it. I would like to do the same.
