Any finishing suggestions. Google says tung oil every year. what about an oil spar mix???

Using marine varnish on my sailing boat can last two years, though it's better to light sand and revarnish each year, and go back to bare wood every three or four years. That's a fresh water environment, but the sun is the real and only enemy.

I wouldn't want all that work for garden furniture, so I think an oil is a good way to go if you can't stand the silver/grey look of an unfinished finish.
