Wipe On Finishes

Hi friends!,

I am new to woodworking, love it!... I am located at Panama, Central America and here we have lovely nice wood but few finishing products we can choose from our stores. I have found one store to have 2 options for wiping finishes (I prefer to go this way for now). I would love your comments about only this 2 products (I know, I know its a kind of restrictive) but I just have access to this 2 and I dont want to mix my own. I have read a lot about wiping varnish and oil/varnish blends. But I want the opinions for more advance masters as you all are.

1. Minwax Antique Finish

2. Formbys Tung Oil

Thanks.

I have used Minwax Antique Finish in the past, and found it a good product. It is an oil/varnish, not just a wiping varnish. The Formby's is a wiping varnish, if I remember my Flexner (correct me if I've misremembered, I don't have my copy handy.)

I vote for the Minwax.

Chris
