Angela
I was wondering what the best method would be to fix warped decorative inlays. I have an old mahogany bed that was stored in a barn for about 20 years. Aside from some minor issues with the finish, the only problem is a few of the inlays are warped and slightly pulling off the headboard. I have done a lot of refinishing, but nothing like this. Is this something that I can do? Thanks!
dwacker
First is to get the bed in a warm heated house or shop for at least a month before making any rash decisions. They may just lay flat. Once stabilized then they can be repaired. Don
Dozer's Workshop
Have you already gotten this all worked out? If not, how much have the inlays pulled off of the wood underneith? How big are the inlays?
