mosaic13 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Share Posted November 1, 2011 A few years ago a friend of mine imported a bedroom set from Italy. I was immediately impressed, especially with the finish. It was so smooth and flawless, it almost appeared as if the wood was coated with glass. Last year I was vacationing and stopped in Florence. I randomly walked into a furniture store and the whole place was full of pieces with the same finish. From jewerly boxes to large tables, it was all finished the same way. I'm thinking there must be some sort of polishing involved. A: does anyone know what I'm talking about? B: what's the material/technique that results in this finish? Thanks!
