Also ordered the Trend 7" diamond lapping plate (300/1000) and lapping fluid. Has anyone used these products or care to comment about them if you have? prov163 Posted March 25, 2014 Report Share Posted March 25, 2014 I have the MKII sharpening jig and really like it. It's easy to use and accurate. I think you'll find it a great help. I'm not familiar with the lapping plate. I use Shapton 1000, 5000, and 8000 grit for honing, and a DMT diamond plate with 220 and 325 for rough work and flattening.
