nikbrown
Sometime in the next 4-6 months I want to get my first bandsaw. Me being me, I tend to jump around to numerous hobbies. I love woodworking but I also have some metal working intrest I'm sure I'll explore at some point. So I want to pick a combo bandsaw. Grizzly and Jet both offer combo machines http://www.jetwilton.com/us/manufacturing/en/product.html?node=4641&product=926 http://www.grizzly.com/products/17-Metal-Wood-Bandsaw-w-Inverter-Motor/G0640X Are there any others out there I should consider? Any thoughts/experience with either of these units? The Grizzly is 2HP and the Jet it 1HP, but HP isn't everything and I'm betting they have pretty similar power at the end of the day, am I wrong? Am I crazy to try to get by with one purchase?
