Oaktown
I have an antique pine desk that I'm repurposing into a bathroom vanity. I plan to apply a CPES followed by Arm-R-Seal topcoat. However, before all that I need to clean the wood. Its a salvaged piece that's a bit beat up. I don't want to strip it and restain it - I like the salvaged look. But what should I use to clean this thing up before applying the sealant and topcoat?
wdwerker
I would just use mineral spirits and a white abrasive pad.Might be smart to test the CPES and ARS in an inconspicuous place first .
