nikbrown Posted February 18, 2011 Report Share Posted February 18, 2011 I'm in Maui this week and Ace hardware here carries Kakuri brand Japanese saws. They have Ryobas and a BUNCH of blades: Bamboo blades, Plywood blades, Plastic cutting blades, and blades designed for cutting diagonally. I picked up a 240 Ryoba for $25 and 2 x 270mm Kataba blades for $10 each. I got the 270mm blades to break down some big 12/4 stock (my current 240 is not the right tool for the job . Anyone know this brand? Hows it compair to other machine made saws? Should I get more stuff? Never heard of them other than a few references online to decent quality planes.
