dyounger
I have a question about Danish Oil. I finished a maple table with a Danish Oil color I thought I liked, but now want it darker. Would like to stick with Danish Oil. Can I simply additionally coat with a darker danish oil, even though its been a week or more later? I've put nothing but Danish Oil on it. Wimayo
Sure. However, since the first coat has, at least, partially sealed the wood, the next coat with color will not penetrate as much and the color will probably not be as dark as it would be if it were the first coat. Keep adding coats and it will get darker with each one. You can also add a compatible dye to the danish oil to make it darker.
