TransTint & Danish Oil ?

We were actually having a conversation about something similar in the comment thread for that video. Apparently Transtint is not recommended for use in products thinned with mineral spirits. I usually don't use oil-based topcoats with color, so the issue never came up in my shop. So based on what I've read so far, its probably not a good idea. You are probably better off making your own dye from either alcohol or water, applying it to get your color, then applying the danish oil on top of that as a topcoat.
