Alain
I built a prototype of a kitchen cabinet in pine and cedar before building it in mahogany. I finished it whith my dad's old lacquer. After a week or so white powder appeared on the cabinet I washed it and it came back again. I dont know yet if it will come back a third time? FYI the lacquer was 20 years old but the can had never been opened. It was an industrial grade CIL lacquer (my dad used to refinish antiques). Hopefully I did'nt used it on my mahogany. Anyone might have a clue on why this happened? Thanks a lot Alain
AceHoleInOne
If I were to guess, the lacquer is past its shelf-life. Try to use fresh finishes. Sorta like eating stale popcorn. Not the same or good as fresh -Ace-
