Saw Blade Sharpening

Hi All,

I'm looking for a place that resharpens cicular saw blades in LA Ca. Or anyplace that I could ship them too. I've got a lot of blades that are kinda dull and need to have them sharpened. Hoping someone out there has had good results from a place. I don't want to have some yahoo ruin my blades because they didn't know what they were doing. I'm sure there is a special way of grinding these to get the proper angles. Also, can dado blades be sharpened without loosing diameter? I have from 7-1/2" to 12" saw blades the need to be done.

Thanks.

Sure saw blades can be reshapened, I use to do it for a living. I have no idea about L.A. but many of the blade manufactures will resharpen the blades, however,it is quite costly so if you have a $40 or $50 blade or less it might cost more than the blade is worth. Also, dado blades can be resharpened and all blades will loose some diameter because are looseing metal as you resharpened but the amount of lost is so little as to be noticeable. The inportant thing is to be sure the blades comes out true and round and with a dado set to be sure that all the inserts and the outside blades are the same diameter.
