As many of you might be aware, I am also a Scoutmaster for a local Boy Scout Troop. (Might explain why I haven't had time to do much woodworking...) Anyway, I have the pleasure of announcing the Troop has had another young man earn his Eagle Scout Rank.

If any Eagle Scouts wish to send along a letter of Recognition, please let me know. I do not want to post his information up blindly on the web, but I do want to offer him the opportunity to receive accolades for all of his hard work.

A little about him: he is currently still in high school for another few weeks, part of the Construction Management crew (meaning he takes regular classes for half a day at the main school, and goes to a Vocational Tech school the other half doing things like building gazebos, laying concrete, running drywall, etc.). He is active in a couple Troops, interested in sports, and loves the outdoors and most activities that can be done in that medium.

I'd post more, but I'm a little leery of just putting his life story out there for any search engine to stumble upon. Shoot me an email, and I can get more information to you.

Oh, and of course there's a fine line on the deadline for the Eagle Court of Honor ceremony where he will officially get his Rank: three weeks. May 20th. He wanted to get the Court of Honor completed before the Graduation parties (or is that PARTIES?) started.

Eagle Scout here! I would be happy to write him.

I had my court of honor the day after my graduation. ALL of my HS friends were in attendance, and then we took off on a week vacation together.

Shoot me the info, and thanks for being an scoutmaster!

Please extend the young man my congratulations. I am the very proud father of 3 Eagle Scouts. So I am very familiar with the hard work and sacrifices that had to be made to achieve the rank of Eagle. Wear your rank proudly, as you have surely earned it. Sounds like you had plenty of time to achieve it, my middle son had his board of review on his 18th birthday. Being an Eagle will surely provide you with some opportunities that many others will not get. Future employers give high credence to the Rank. Enjoy, and again congratulations!
