I decided not to go with MDF for any further projects after the weight and weakness issues I had encountered on earlier projects. And I figured the time I put into a project made the labor costs a lot more then the material costs anyway, so I went with Birch Plywood. It is still too heavy for one person to move, but I am working on the base now and will build it on the finished top.

Pardon the mess, it is a back corner that doesn't get cared for. And the picture was taken with my wimpy cell phone camera. I'll do better next time.
