Kenny McCarty Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 I was considering how was going to attach my pvc pipe the the ceiling for the DC and figured I could just use rope and eye bolts. Anyone see anything with this that would be bad? I have a finished ceiling...if I used strapping I think I would have to put a bunch of 2x4 all over the place to screw it into to. Also I have those long fluorescent lights in my shop and the ducting has to drop below it....not sure if there would be some magical bad things that would happen if the ducting passed to close to the lighting or not... dwacker Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 Can you put it in the attic space? Quote
Hybrid-woodworker Posted January 12, 2013 Report Posted January 12, 2013 I agree, no issue with being close the the lights except leave enough room to change the bulbs. Rather than rope, I would use the webbing that is used to hang flexible ducting or perforated metal strap screwed into the strapping or 2x4s. BRuce Quote
