Joshua Luther
I have an old Sprunger 14" band saw that I picked up on Craigslist yesterday and the tires are missing completely. I was wondering if it would be possible to temporarily wrap a single layer of gorilla tape around the wheels as a substitute for the tires until I get some? Gorilla tape is thicker and stronger than duct tape so I would never use duct tape. But since gorilla tape sticks really well, I was wondering about this possibility. It obviously wouldn't be a permanent fix. Just something to get me by till I'm able to get the tires.
dwacker
NO I would hate to see you loose a finger because the band popped off the wheel.

Joshua Luther
These are the tires that I bought. Got very lucky in finding some repackaged tires for super cheap. They look brand new. Haven't put them on yet, but definitely cheaper than $30. Proverbs 16:

mrrhode04
I also added a little dish soap to my water made it really easy to get them on.
Mzdadoc
Dish soap yes anything oil based no. Had a friend who wondered why he always had balancing issues every time he replaced tires on customer cars. I finally asked was he using the soaping mix in the container and he said no I just grab the WD40. DOH!
