Guest Trace
My son, the younger one, was married the day before Thanksgiving last year. It was a civil ceremony and was as a means to get into a home he and his (now) wife wanted to buy. He said that "The reception will be one that no one will ever forget. They planned, with the help of their friends, an evening of entertainment worth the trip many of our friend made to be there. The theme was Pirates. He, his wife, and most of their friends, are members of the "SOCIETY FOR CREATIVE ANACHRONISMS", a reenactment group with worldwide membership. Costumes were requested but not necessary. A lot of the adults got into the theme as did almost of the children. I went as a friar, my wife as a waterfront bar maid. Anyway, if you would like to see the pictures, go to RyanZook.com fro some that he and his crew took of the activities. If there is a picture of the Grim Reaper, that is the older son. PaulMarcel
Ryan's a fantastic photographer. Love his compositions. Okay, so I understand that marriage is "tying the knot", but I don't think they meant a noose!! Love how that's hanging behind the preacher. No sign of the Grim Reaper. Likely at the bar So I didn't get what all the haunted house pictures were about; did they have one there? Maybe I missed a caption that explained. Anyway, very very cool. Guest Trace
The haunted house was in the lower level of the barn that is shown. The HAYLOFT is a commercial reception hall. In the fall they have a cornfield maze. A haunted house runs for the entire month of October, so Justin and Meredith added it to the festivities. If you will pardon the language, "It was one hell of a party". In the pictures, I am the "Friar" setting to the right in the front row.
