When the utility company decided to replace the 60 year old pipelines, they cut down a lot of trees and simply piled them at the side of the easements. I've been looking at the logs for a while and have noticed some of the bottom sections are spalted. I am not a turner, but I hate to see the wood go to waste. So, if you need an excuse to use your chainsaw, send me a PM and I will give you the address. We can set up a date for cutting and pickup. It dosen't get too cold here in West Virginia until late november. And if you belong to a woodturners club, I don't mind if several people come over. I do need to know when you would like to be here. How long have they been down? We took down several Ambrosia Maples in our yards and we had left a few of them for a couple of months... went back to them the other day... friggin GIANT wood beetles. ruined all the wood.
