jHop Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Am I alone in thinking that the families can go off wherever and celebrate the feasting of some poor overweight bird, and leave me alone in the shop for six to eight hours so I can actually get something accomplished? Maybe this is a result of being threatened with actually having to cook my own food, or of dealing with the myriad layers of family issues, but I'd almost rather ship everybody off in a box and stay home in the shop this year... iSawitFirst Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Yea, I used to be just like that until the grandsons came along. Now every holiday is a chance for me to act like a kid again, spoil them absolutely rotten and then send them home with huge sugar buzzes. AND I get to do creative things in the shop with them like cut out fish and crabs on the scroll saw, build fire trucks and cars and, of course, go fishing! I have a whole new attitude towards holidays, mainly because I want to. Quote
