knotscott
Well, this year's Christmas project was definitely a hit at our house. It got played nearly non-stop by someone all day (and evening ). We wrapped it up in toilet paper...the look of bewilderment when the kids unwrapped it was a riot. We also gave them a portable battery powered mini amp to go with it. The two older boys already have guitars, so this was supposed to be for the 3 younger kids, but they had a lot of competition getting a turn to play! Lotsa “Smoke On The Water”, “Iron Man”, and “Another One Bites The Dust” riffs being played by the newbies here! I don't have any sound clips, but it really doesn't sound too bad when played on a real amp....not quite at the level of their big brother's guitars, but more pleasing on the ears than an average $100 China Strat clone. The first pic shows the toilet paper wrapping coming off.
PaulMarcel
Very cool, very clever! This is definitely a seat-down affair. Soooo, how many guitar players in the family?!? I mean, really, a stack of Marshalls in the corner and everything! Thanks for sharing; can tell it was a blast
knotscott
...Soooo, how many guitar players in the family?!? ... Only one who's reasonably accomplished (20 YO), and one that's getting there (24 YO...the Marshall owner), and two younger wannabees. It was fun.
