bglenden
My wife is interested in trying her hand at making picture frames. To me this sounds like a good application for a miter box, saw, and stop block. Does anyone have suggestions for a good miter box and saw to buy - I imagine precision is paramount. (I think new - I don't know that we would be up to rehabbing an old tool). I see that Lee Valley sells a set for example. Any advice/sources of information for building picture frames would also be most welcome, although I did buy a book (How to Make Your Own Picture Frames by Rogers and Reinhardt). Cheers, Brian
jwatson
jorgenson makes a miter box that looks pretty good. they have a couple of models. one is a complex miter saw thats a more expensive item but there is the basic mitre box thats only 25 bucks. thought about buying it but still not sure yet, I am looking to rehab one as well. unfortunately i never got to try it out for myself http://www.acehardwareoutlet.com/ProductDetails.aspx?SKU=2068666
