outofstepper
Just thought I'd share something.. like I said in my last post I'm just starting out.. so I can use all the help I can get. In milling my boards to size, I've personally found a pair of friction joint calipers to be really handy. Granted winding sticks and a marking wheel gage do the job, but I don't have a proper workbench just yet.. its not the flattest either.. a quick drag up and down the sides with some calipers points those high spots out real fast for me. I've been using these for years in metal working .. so maybe its just a comfort level thing. As I get used to the winding sticks and working to the line they may drop out of rotation.. but so far, they've really been helping me out. -Tony
