bignoise
I'm looking for recommendations on a portable table saw. I'm a carpenter by trade so it needs to be able to deal with regular use and not be too heavy to lift in and out of the van. I've been looking around at various different saws but it's hard to tell in a catalogue what is good and what is not. Worth mentioning if my avatar didn't give it away that I'm in the UK so no sawstop recommendations
Texfire
I've got a Bosch 4100 with the zero gravity rise stand for it. In retrospect it wasn't ideal for a dedicated shop saw, but it's pretty ideal for a jobsite saw that you're going to have to move around. The stand is very easy to use and makes moving it a breeze. Beechwood Chip
+1 on the Bosch 4100. It was accurate, had all the safety features I wanted, and I liked that all the accessories mounted to the saw. I really like the riving knife / blade guard system.
