jmaichel Posted April 17, 2011 Report Share Posted April 17, 2011 My wife told me I could get my self something for my birthday, so I obliged and that something quickly turned into somethings. I ended up getting the Veritas plow plane, LN spokeshave (with case), tite mark, bow saw kit (tools for woodworking), Gramercy holdfasts and a couple of auger bits bits...oops! Once I got the ball rolling it was hard to stop. I made a couple cuts with the plow plane already and wow what a difference it makes in cutting groves vice using a router plane. The one thing I did not realize is that most of the bow saw has to be built by me, something I did not realize, fortunately Shannon will be covering a bow saw kit build on his free sitebut I have a feeling he is going to use a bandsaw, which is something I don't have so I may need to get creative. I just got it yesterday and have not put it into service yet but I am sure I will love it just as soon as I figure out how to properly use it.
