MichaelChapman
A friend of mine was doing a home renovation for a customer and he had been hearing a backhoe running across the river from the house all week. Out of curiosity he checked it out..... the result? Thousands of board feet of ash, cherry and maple as well as a few others... the owner was piling the logs near the road with a "free" sign on them.... needless to say he cleaned em' up. I was over sticking boards the other day for a few hours... For my troubles I have a couple of planks/slabs of ash in the drying shed that are roughly 7"x26"x 10' to play with in a few years ( some of these logs were so large we just could not see a good reason NOT to cut some huge boards..) I have a couple pieces of cherry that are close to that size as well... Forgive the crappy video... was tired, sweaty and covered with sawdust at this point.
