mds2
I have been in desperate need of a planer for a while now and I ran across one at an auction this last weekend. It's an old Sears Roebuck, model number 306.9123. After unsuccessfully trying to lift it into the back of a pickup I have named it "The Behemoth". My question: where can I find information about this thing? Owner's manual, parts, etc? I've done a little searching online but haven't found anything. Hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction.

Darnell Hagen
Are there any other badges? Craftsman, Companion, and Dunlap all made machinery for Sears, Parks manufactured a lot of their planers. Info can be found at OWWM.org, manuals can be found at vintagemachinery.org. Dave's Not Here
I believe that the 306 prefix on that model number indicates that the planer was made by Belsaw Mfg for Sears.
Onboard
found this: http://www.searspart...&shdMod=3069123 Based on the Sears parts page you found, I hope you never have to replace the Cutterhead!

Here's your manual, there is another one on the site and photos in the index.
mds2
Good call! Here's your manual, there is another one on the site and photos in the index. Awesome! Thank you. I think I might end up selling this thing. Space is at a premium in my shop and this planer takes up a lot of it. I really need a benchtop one. Anyone have a clue what this might be worth?
