Bob Dylan
Name some good sources, if you have them, for antique heart pine in project-sized quanties. All-heart, tight-grained, longleaf pine, preferably rift-sawn or even VG. Who can be counted on to ship you what you need? I am talking about quantities such as for a small cabinet job, or for tables, etc. I say "antique" because I believe that the really old-growth trees were the only ones that produced this lumber in really tight grain, but hey, what do I know. RyanLincoln
The only place to find the last vestiges of this antique wood is reclamation from old buildings or where it was left behind--under water in the southern rivers used by many timber operations in the 1800s to raft their logs to nearby sawmills.
