I needed a new bed and it needed to be tall enough underneath for storage and I wanted a drawer for all of my flat drawings and such. So i started with some 2x8s and lumber from my pervious bed. I ran those through my planar to get them nice and smooth. I started cutting slots for the cross members. I dry fit it up. Not too bad I suppose. After more slot cutting and making the bottom for the drawers. Then I started cutting the legs but ran out of daylight so that will be my next bit of work.
